White Kitchen Fatigue?

  1. I personally detest white kitchens. Stains are so difficult to get out, and for a time I had a kitchen without a tile backsplash: every year, we had to repaint to hide stains and grease spatters. And my family is very Southern, so of course we had a lot of cooking always going on! Now we have a more brown-toned kitchen, which is MUCH better.

  2. There’s really a lot to look forward to this 2018. Bump outs and room additions also beat the fatigue. For many home stagers, the brighter and bolder, the better!

  3. Totally agree here. Going all white is just too bland and safe now. Two tone cabinets or different colored islands really add some life into an otherwise all white hospital-like look.

  4. Visual contrast of black and white will blend well with any space as this is a timeless trend.

  5. Two tones are definitely nice. Can’t wait to see more in 2018!

  6. When the newest trend, white was a nice change of pace – however, not livable. It will be nice to see some contrast, a change of pace, color! Truth be told I’m growing tired of the other neutrals too…paper bag brown, blues and grays. Go big, go bold!

  7. There’s no need to shy away from a white kitchen. Partner it up with neutral colors and you’ll have a combination that’ll appeal to most of the population today!

  8. Instead of going for an all-white design, use white with other colors as an enhancer.

White is classic and will never go out of style. It also is a perfect backdrop for colorful foods, colorful artwork, furniture, and, of course, colorful guests — the stars of every gathering in my home. Loud colors get old fast. They’re simply too compelling, especially in the kitchen.
